Just one person with one dollar can positively impact the lives of women in need.  Go to www.youreoneinamillion.org and donate your dollar today.

One blouse

One dress

One pair of shoes to make

One woman feel

One thousand times more confident.

One scarf.

One sweater.

Or, simply!

One dollar given to

One organization that

One by one

Helps women in need look like

One million bucks.

You’re One In a Million.org is the brainchild of three passionate dreamers who formed a group to prove that “all things are possible if you are aligned with your passions.”  This group, called Power Behind The Passion, set out to raise one million dollars for The Women’s Alliance (www.thewomensalliance.org), a national organization led by passionate women who help other women realize their dreams of transitioning into the workforce.

Within four trades and one big business deal, the group had what it needed to reach its goal: The Tigertail, a Softail Harley-Davidson with a crystal skin made of Swarovski crystals.

Thousands of Bikers Stand Out as One in a Million

Power Behind The Passion Team on its way to reaching its one million dollar goal

For The Women’s Alliance and prove all things are possible

Miami, FL (September 18, 2007) – Thousands of bikers stopped to admire The Tigertail, a one-of-a-kind custom made 2007 Softail Harley-Davidson motorcycle, as it was unveiled at the 35th Annual Phil Peterson’s Key West Poker Run.  Once they touched the sparkling crystal skin made of Swarovski crystals and stepped back to watch it glimmer, they made their way to buy their chance at winning it for a single dollar.  In doing so, they became part of the You’re One in a Million.org campaign, a grand scale sweepstakes to benefit The Women’s Alliance focusing on the power of one. Just one person, one hope, one dollar can positively impact the lives of women in need.

Excitement and curiosity abounded during the unveiling of the Tigertail at the Conch Republic in Key West, FL.  Thousands of bike riders stopped in the 90 degree heat to appreciate the craftsmanship of this great machine and learn about The Women’s Alliance, a national non-profit providing services for women transitioning into the workforce.  The weekend officially kick-started the campaign and the first 3,000 tickets were sold.

To participate, individuals can log onto You’re One in a Million.org to donate one dollar for a chance to win the one-of-a-kind Tigertail motorcycle, with the goal that one million people will spend one dollar and help The Women’s Alliance. The campaign runs through April 18, 2008.

The Tigertail is now headed to New York City to be on display at the Working Mother 100 Best Companies Conference, October 1-3, 2007 (Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers).  Here the Tigertail will bring its message of hope and the power of one individual to make a change in the world to support the success of working mothers across America.

You're One in a Million.org is a project of the Power Behind the Passion team, Nicole Wild, Linda Peterson, and Thomas Cook.  Searching for ways to be innovative, Power Behind the Passion set out to prove that it doesn’t matter where you come from because all things are possible if you are aligned with your passions and set clear intentions.  Starting with the idea to uptrade a book called The Passion Test for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, within four trades and one big business deal, they were able to manifest the Tigertail.

THE PASSION RUN OFFICIAL UPDATE!

An elite group of 100 Harley-Davidson riders and  supporters opened their hearts and lined up their HOGS, Hummers, and Benz’s for the first-ever “Passion Run,” a historic event hosted by Peterson’s Harley-Davidson of Miami, raising more than $20,000 to support the work of The Women’s Alliance last Saturday.

Starting at Chapter 2, a project of The Women’s Alliance, participants from as far as Massachusetts, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC, lined up in front of the former home of Miami’s first black millionaire, Mr. DA Dorsey.  With a police escort, riders were given a license to stop traffic on I-95 to US 1. All along the route onlookers showed support with honking horns and encouraging waves. Williamson Cadillac staff cheered from the outdoor balcony of their amazing facility on US 1. The ride ended at Peterson’s Harley-Davidson’s South Miami store, located at the intersection of US 1 and the Florida Turnpike, to join in a VIP Reception and 1969 All-American themed auction event.

The project was the first ever for the Power Behind The Passion group whose goal is to raise the funding necessary to build the exclusive Tigertail Motorcycle from traded parts.

The Women’s Alliance Executive Director Nicole Wild along with Linda Peterson of Peterson’s Harley-Davidson and Thomas Cook, a business and strategic partnership consultant from Washington DC, formed the group which began with the uptrade of their inspiration - Janet & Chris Attwood’s national #1 Bestseller book, The Passion Test and continued with Saturday’s Passion Run.

One month after posting the book on Craigslist, the Power Behind The Passion team was able to “uptrade it” for all the parts with matching serial numbers to a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle generously traded by Jim Kelley, an entrepreneur and philanthropist from Boston, MA.  Drew Peterson, Peterson’s Harley-Davidson of Miami, stepped in next by providing a 2007 Harley engine and transmission ”to give the Power Behind The Passion group the ability to build a bike worthy of its mission,” said Peterson.

At the event, Kelley and Peterson announced that they were joining together to build the Tigertail Motorcycle for Power Behind The Passion.  “For me, it’s really simple. We should step out and help those who are in need or down on their luck.  This was an out-of-the-box project that I could support that melded my passion for helping others with my love for motorcycles,” said Kelley.

We are excited to let you know that we are currently organizing a  passion ride with Peterson's Harley-Davidson South Miami to raise awareness for our charity uptrade project. The purpose of The Passion Run is to raise the funding necessary to build the Tigertail Motorcycle from traded parts that will then be given away to raise $1 million for The Women's Alliance and women in need. A "Passion Test" dream come true for the PBP Team.

Everyone and Everything Deserves A Second Chance. For over 50,000 women struggling to break free from the cycle of poverty and welfare making a great first impression means a transition into independence, new opportunities, and freedom and The Women’s Alliance is an integral part of their support system in Miami and across the nation.

Registered participants will assemble at Chapter 2 Clothing, The Women’s Alliance’s hip new resale store located at 250 NW 9th Street in Overtown, Miami on the day at 4 pm for a VIP photo opportunity and the first ever motorcycle ride: The Passion Run.

Guests will then be led via police and celebrity escort to the Peterson’s Harley-Davidson South Dealership for an All-American Easy Rider Affair.  After enjoying a reception and auction of signed celebrity bandanas, guests will be directed to a 1969 themed drive-in theatre with corporate couches set up in the 10,000 sq ft parking lot under the stars to enjoy great music from 1969 and the infamous Easy Rider movie on the big screen.

Stay Tuned! Nicole, Linda, Thomas

Where were you in 1969? Guests will be invited to submit a digital photo of themselves from 1969 to be displayed on the big screen!

1969 Happenings: Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon, Richard Nixon was inaugurated as US President, The Woodstock Festival was featured; The Top Ten songs included Come Together, Proud Mary, and Honky Tonk Women; and it was the year Easy Rider opened the world to the freedom of the open road.

Blog EntryThe Passion TestSep 12, '07 8:31 PM
by Power Behind The Passion for everyone
It all started on July 31st, when Nicole's daughter, Isabella, woke her up at 5:00 am.  As she sat there putting her back to sleep, she was sparked by the idea of the "red paper clip blog phenomenon" to uptrade a copy of The Passion Test ($24) via a series of continuous charity trades for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle (priceless) to give-away and raise $1,000,000 for The Women's Alliance and women in need.

Janet Attwood, co-author of The Passion Test, had personally coached Linda and Nicole through The Passion Test program the same month and what resonated was the power of positive Intention to attention. Thomas our PBP Team Partner backed it all up (he's psychic remember). They were touched by Janet’s authentic and caring support of women, the synchronicities that led to their connecting, and reached out to her to ask her to lead her “Empowered Women's Series” educational program for 200 women from Overtown, Miami, in transition from welfare and poverty. The workshop will be held on November 21st at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay. Janet has graciously offered to give her program for free to help women in need. You can learn more about The Women’s alliance and Janet at thepassiontest.com and thewomensalliance.org.

Believing all things are possible, The PBP Team has set a humble PASSION TEST goal to raise $1,000,000 (yes...you read it right -- that's one million dollars) to help struggling working mothers  and women in transition from welfare and poverty to the workforce from the charity uptrade project. T
he blog project was posted in the barter section of Craig’s List (Miami) on August 1, 2006 and within just  over three weeks the following miraculous synchronicities and charity trades occurred:

Miracle #1 occurred when Dr. Donna Goldstein an area philanthropist and blogger sees the online posting at Craig's List (Miami) and although she is watching her budget decides to trade an art  piece she won in a Hurricane Katrina fundraiser for The Passion Test. The art piece has been sitting in her office for months and there is no wall space for it. Value jumps from $24 to $175.

Miracle #2;
Janet Attwood, author of The Passion Test, learns about the blog project and  tells Mark Victor Hansen, co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and he offers to help. Janet arranges for charity trade number two to take place in California. Mr. Hansen ups the value of the trade from $175 to $725 with fabulous motivational books and CD packages.

Miracle #3;
Next a copy of the blog reaches Jim Kelley in press packets sent from Nicole via Pally Chiogioji, a fearless fundraiser and board member for The Women’s Alliance. Mr. Kelley reads about the project with curiosity and emails Pally a note to let her know that he would like to offer up a trade. He has a 1999 Harley "1340" engine with less than 13k miles on it, along with an accompanying transmission and related parts and accessories (all taken from the same bike with matching serial numbers, and all in fine  working order) - just incredible. That was August 25th....and now we have our bike...and we just need a fabulous team to help build it.

Who knows, you may be our Miracle #4? If you have any suggestions, or ideas to support our project we would love to hear from you.

Dear fun, philanthropic bloggers:

My name is Nicole Wild from The Women's Alliance
(www.thewomensalliance.org). SOMEONE'S FUTURE IS HANGING IN YOUR CLOSET.

Following the tradition of Kyle MacDonald (who created a blog phenomenon with his quest to trade up a red paper clip into a house), and inspired by Janet and Chris Attwood's new book - The Passion Test - my passion is to trade up a hard copy of their book via a series of continuous trades - for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The end goal is to auction the "Harley" online to benefit women in transition from welfare and poverty to the workforce as a POWER BEHIND THE PASSION (PBP) project - more about PBP later.

I am open to suggestions for the next trade! As my friend Linda Peterson would say, "Let's do something that will tilt the planet just a little bit...."
